Atemporal studyminiature for ensemble
2026
2026
A short miniature based on the paradoxical idea that what we call eternity or atemporality might only be approached through an event so brief that it involves no variation. Written for the retirement of a professor after a long institutional presence, it brings together two contrasting temporal scales: the arc of a human life and the concentrated immediacy of a single sonic event. Atemporality is understood here not as something beyond time, but as something that can emerge at the very limit of our awareness of it.
